About AgeFile
Helping parents make sense of what they need.
AgeFile is a UK-focused product-discovery and guidance resource for parents. It organises products and buying decisions around a child’s age and stage, rather than presenting parents with one enormous catalogue.
Why AgeFile exists
Parents are often told that they need a long list of products before they understand which items will actually suit their family. Needs also change quickly: bottles, cups, high chairs, travel equipment and play products may become useful at different stages and remain relevant for different lengths of time.
AgeFile aims to make those decisions easier by showing what may be useful now, what might become relevant next, and which product options suit different homes, budgets and priorities.
How it works
Parents select an age and explore products connected to that stage. AgeFile then provides practical buying considerations, selected product recommendations and comparisons designed to explain the trade-offs between different choices.
Age guidance is intended to be helpful rather than rigid. Children develop differently, family circumstances vary, and there is rarely one product that is right for everyone.
Our editorial approach
AgeFile aims to distinguish between genuinely different product choices rather than simply listing a large number of similar items. Recommendations may consider factors such as value, longevity, storage, cleaning, usability, replacement parts and suitability for different family circumstances.
Retail links may eventually earn AgeFile a commission. Commercial relationships do not determine the conclusions presented in our guides.
